J.A.M.
Gather, Create, And J.A.M. Together
Current session
July 9th, August 27th & September 10th, 6pm–8pm
Hosted by Sound Education
This J.A.M. session, hosted by Sound Education, centers improvisation as a way to explore, interact, compose, and reflect; transforming the Arts @ Large Gallery into a place where sound and music encourage creativity across art mediums.
A house band will lead the way in a Sound Education, allowing space for participants to J.A.M. in many ways — from creating music with each other on the spot to areas for writing, drawing, and collaging. There will also be cameras available to take photographs. We hope everyone enters the space as a participant in the process.
Over the course of several sessions, Sound Education aims to document the story along the way. With that in mind, participants are encouraged to leave a creation behind for a final exhibit in spring 2027.
